A referral was made into YFCC for drug and alcohol counselling, and Head Space to support Jackson’s mental health. Jackson eventually enrolled himself into a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management at Tas Tafe in Burnie. Through this course he now has his First Aid certificate and learning about propagation, Jackson advised he has really enjoyed the course and his teacher stated Jackson has done well and is a valuable member of the group.
Jackson advised his mentor that the classes have been involved in helping the Ulverstone Community with projects and he can see himself working in this industry in the future, providing this quote from his time in the TtW program – “Going to the community garden inspired me to study my course”
