What is ParentsNext

ParentsNext is a free program designed to support eligible parents develop pre-employability skills, as they navigate and prepare for their next stage in life.

Identify education and employment goals
Develop a pathway to achieve their goals
Connect with local support services
Access financial support to ensure you succeed at training, education or employment

Who is eligible?

ParentsNext is now a voluntarily program, you can seek support and sign up with us based on the following criteria:

Received Parenting Payment for the last six months
Have a child aged between the ages of 9 months and 5 years 5 months
under the age of 55

You may be referred by services Australia, or you can directly register by contacting us.

What can ParentsNext help me with?

ParentsNext at NJL gives parents the opportunity to develop skills and confidence that enable them to become employment ready, when they are ready.

We will provide you with the knowledge tools and financial support to succeed at any of your future goals big or small.

We can support with:

Provide financial support - licences, courses, laptops for study, transport costs, medical expenses and more
Discuss and plan for your future
Connect you and your family with the right people and services
Support with positive step to achieve the goals you set
Driving lessons
Parenting and personal development courses
Developing tailored resumes and covers letters
Support with job search and applications

We also provide language and cultural support for participants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
